Escalate Inquiry

POST /post-order/v2/inquiry/{inquiryId}/escalate

This method is used to escalate the specified Item Not Received inquiry to an INR case on behalf of the buyer or seller. The seller would only escalate an INR inquiry if he/she already shipped the order line item, but the buyer is refusing to close the inquiry.

This method is not supported in the Sandbox environment.

inquiryId string Required The unique identifier of the inquiry to be escalated. The inquiry ID value is passed in as part of the call URI.

Request field descriptions



Input Container/Field Type Occurrence Meaning
comments Text Required The buyer or seller escalating the INR inquiry is required to use this container to provide more details about why the INR inquiry is being escalated to a case.
comments.content string Conditional This field displays the actual textual content in the language specified in the language field. This field is always used for containers using the Text type.
comments.language string Conditional This two-letter code indicates the language used to display the content in the content field. The language will default to the language used on the eBay site if a specific language is not specified through the Accept-Language HTTP header. This field is always used for containers using the Text type.

comments.translatedFromContent string Conditional If language translation/localization is required, this field displays the actual textual content in the language specified in the translatedFromLanguage field. If language translation was not required, this field is not applicable.

escalateInquiryReason string Required This field is used to specify the reason why the buyer or seller is escalating the specified INR inquiry into a case.

One of the enumeration values defined in the InquiryEscalationReasonEnum type definition must be used here. Some values are only applicable to the buyer escalating the inquiry, some values are only applicable to the seller escalating the inquiry, and some values are relevant to either party.

This operation escalates an INR inquiry to an INR case.

Description

This operation escalates the specified inquiry to a case on behalf of the buyer.

Input

Supply the inquiry ID as a path parameter in the call. The value of the optional escalationReason field indicates that the buyer is escalating this inquiry due to a lack of responsiveness on the part of the seller.
